Watery Wednesday: Venice

Photo taken in Venice, July

We were lucky enough to have taken the non touristic route in Venice which takes you along so many hidden gems. It's very quiet away from the crowd and it's nice to see the real Venetians at work. What surprised me -although I should have expected it- is that you have boat repair shops there like you have car garages here. If you ever go to Venice please don't follow the crowd but go your own way!

I've always wanted to visit Venice. When I was a little girl, my father went on a business trip to Italy and visited Venice. I've been fascinated by the city ever since.

I love all the variety of your photo techniques. Thanks for sharing your fun views with us. Can't pick a favorite...enjoy the pinks and oranges of the photos.

Very nice - I like the very first photo the most and enjoyed seeing your experimentation. Enjoyed the peek at life in the city of canals, something I haven't done before...

If I get to Venice, I'll follow your advise. I think it'd hold true for most cities.

The Venicians definitely have a unique world of their very own. I enjoyed visiting there once during the winter time. It was a quiet and peaceful without the roar of all the tourists. I heard they had some bad flooding there recently.
